WHERE ARE YOU WRITING THIS?
Writing this at home on a stunning spring day in Leicestershire
WHERE ARE YOU DREAMING OF GOING AS SOON AS THE QUARANTINE ENDS?
Once quarantine ends i'm going to The Engine Yard's Balloon Bar at home for a cocktail or two. I can't wait to go on a few European holidays once this is over. Quite fancy a weekend trip to Paris once this is over as my first trip away
WHAT QUOTE/ MANTRA / MINDFULNESS GO TO IS GETTING YOU THROUGH THIS?
Who looks outside, dreams: who looks inside, awakens. Love that the world is simultaneously having to slow down - there's something really unifying about everyone across the world doing this together. For once it isn't about the hustle, it's about taking care of ourselves and each other. We really are all Global citizens right now
WHAT IS KEEPING YOU LAUGHING?
My dad & British humour has really upped it's ante in the last two weeks. The meme's and videos going around are keeping us all laughing and proving you really can't beat British humour.
WHAT WON’T YOU EVER TAKE FOR GRANTED AGAIN POST QUARANTINE?
I won't ever take for granted eating out, the cosmopolitan life of London and the freedom we exercise daily choosing how we plan our day. The freedom of hoping onto a flight and being in Spain in 3 hours or wherever.
WHAT SMALL BUSINESSES ARE YOU LOVING AND WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A SHOUT TO?
I am LOVING The Deck. When I say I couldn't be more in awe and proud of what Daisy has created I mean it. The new lease of life The Deck has breathed into womens Tailoring looks and speaks to a new generation of women, whilst also remaining inclusive and ageless. I am loving Peachy Den, my friend Izzy Weatherby's brand. It's playful and colourful and her campaigns brighten up your feed. The velvet leggings are also insanely comfortable and flattering. Lylies London jewellery. The Silver & Gold jewellery is salvaged from electronics and re-moulded into beautiful jewellery.
WHAT RESTAURANT WILL BE YOUR FIRST MEAL POST QUARANTINE?
I actually think either 5 Hertford Street or Scott's
WHAT IS KEEPING YOU ENTERTAINED - PRINT OR DIGITAL?
I'm still working and doing lots of re-search on how Corona's changing the landscape of consumerism & brands. Watching Mad Men I'm watching having missed the craze when it first came out. Quite educational for my work in marketing and Advertising too. Print, Getiting into House Party and enjoying catching up with friends in the evening. Not as good as the real thing but a great way to keep in touch!
WE ARE CALLED THE DECK – WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE CARD GAME?
I love Spit - learnt at school in a dorm where we'd hold very competitive matches in 11am break. My card game knowledge is pretty slim. I think I know how to play 3 games well. Using isolation wisely to learn a few more.
WHAT WOULD YOUR DREAM SUIT LOOK LIKE?
I don't think you can beat a well made black tux with a great crisp shirt.
WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING ON NETFLIX?
WHAT ARE YOU READING?
Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future is a 2014 book by the American entrepreneur and investor Peter Thiel
CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SKINCARE REGIME? THE PRODUCTS YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
I love The Ordinary Lactic acid serum for a gentle peel I use twice a week. I love The Ordinary serum to keep my skin hydrated - I put it on and then layer my Chanel Hydrating face cream onto. I couldn't live without some Aesop hand cream and Perfect Nude Lanolips lip balm.
YOUR GO TO VITAMINS?
Vit C. All day every day. The purest form Asorbic Acid.
WHAT IS YOUR HOME WORKOUT OF CHOICE?
Now we're in quarantine, I'm using this as the perfect excuse to have some variety to my workouts. I'm trying lots of great online Youtube videos, I've also been loving the free Tracy Anderson videos. Brands are really getting behind giving free exercise content so i'm making the most of discovering new exercises that challenge me in different ways!
