The Deck is a young brand, but we’re determined to do things the right way. In short, we are built on core values that make us so much more than a tailoring house.
We nurture and maintain long-standing traditions of tailoring, and work hard to keep craft skills alive. We work with a community of highly skilled artisans, and take huge pride in having our London atelier on Savile Row. We do our utmost to celebrate the wealth of expertise that goes into each and every piece of clothing we make. All our garments go through in excess of a dozen craft processes, and pass through several pairs of highly-skilled hands as they are made.
Empowerment is important to us on many levels. Not only do we want women to have equal opportunities – including the great feeling of having a suit made expressly for yourself, to your precise measurements – we also want believe in the power of tailored clothes to help you stand taller and feel stronger. Nothing quite compares to the moment a woman sees herself in a new suit for the first time.
We are advocates of slow, conscious and mindful purchasing. We’re an antidote to fashion’s prevailing throwaway culture and we focus on ensuring that you invest in quality, versatility and longevity. We create all our tailoring on a made-to-order basis, removing textile waste and overproduction from our business. Using the finest natural materials – worsted wool, silk, cashmere, velvet, corduroy and linen – we support responsible textile producers with transparent supply chains.
We celebrate women, full stop. From every body shape to every age or ethnicity, we cherish the female form and always aim to build clients’ confident with clothing. We will continue to do our part to support equal opportunities and representation. Though our community of clients, we hope to share the stories of countless inspiring women.
When you step into the world of The Deck, you become part of our community for life. We’re proud to have an ever growing community of like-minded women who support one another, while working together to support women. We’re here to lift women up, and keep them there. We’ll support you in any way we can, from events, to networking dinners and by sharing resources, we’re committed to being a force for good.
