The Deck cuts a suit to fit a woman’s body. Not the other way around. We’re a women’s-only tailoring house designed to make you feel at home from the moment you step through our doors at 19 Savile Row.
We take great pride in our Savile Row address, in fact The Deck is the first women’s only tailoring house to have a shopfront on this prestigious street – so synonymous with luxury tailoring. When you visit us, we’ll sit down with you and guide you through the process of having something made from start to finish. Choose your cut, cloth, styling details, finishing touches – the works. We hold over 2,000 cloths in our atelier, as well as an extensive range of sample garments to act as reference points and offer inspiration.
Our aim is for you to relax, and to enjoy the experience of making something to order with us. Our promise to you is that you’ll always be welcome in-store, whether you’re just starting to think about taking the plunge and have some questions, or you’re ready to order a whole new wardrobe.
While we make some one-off bespoke pieces in London, the majority of our made-to-measure garments are crafted in a small, specialist tailoring atelier in Porto, Portugal. We partnered with the atelier when The Deck was founded because we felt its values aligned with ours: quality, craftsmanship and good service.
Quite apart from bringing specialist tailoring knowledge to bear, the workshop is family owned and run, with a small, long-serving staff of craftspeople. Most of the team there specialise in one or two parts of the production process; whether that’s inserting the sleeves on a jacket or giving garments a final steam press into shape before they head out of the door.
All our garments are made using a combination of hand and eye, with traditional processes and reassuringly old fashioned hand-operated machines. You know what they say – if it’s not broken, don’t fix it.
