The deck is a contemporary made-to-measure tailoring brand, by women, for women. We’re also proud to be the first female-only tailor with a shopfront in the history of Savile Row. We make elegant, contemporary and timeless suits and separates to compliment all elements of a woman’s life – from boyfriend blazers to wear while racing around town or dropping the kids at school, to tuxedos or velvet power suits for Black Tie and red carpet events. Founded by Daisy Knatchbull in 2019, The Deck offers stylish, successful women an alternative to mainstream brands and fast fashion.

As a house, we believe in creating suits, separates, jackets and trousers to work seamlessly with the lifestyles of our clients. We want our clients to feel truly comfortable in our tailoring and at ease with their wardrobes.

To help with this, we take time to understand you, your personality and the requirements you have in mind for your new clothes before you place an order. We’ll work with you during your initial consultation to choose fabrics and styling details that are flattering, transcend seasonal trends and work for your own figure.

In short, we spend time with our clients to ensure that the tailoring we make is truly timeless in turn.

We take our name from a deck of cards. Clients can choose their suits from one of four master patterns.

Jackets are available in single-breasted, double-breasted, boyfriend or safari silhouettes, while trousers can be straight-leg, cigarette, wide-leg or flared. All The Deck’s patterns are cut exclusively by one of Savile Row’s most experienced female pattern cutters. Once a client has chosen which of these start-points works best for them, The Deck can alter everything from lapel width and shape, to jacket length or style of pocket to create a unique garment exactly to the customer’s specifications. Garments are made to order using a mixture of traditional craft-tailoring techniques and state-of-the-art technology, all of which adds up to a luxury brand that is both considered and responsible in its approach to retail.

Our Mission

We work to free women from ready-to-wear, off-the-rack fashion and the pressure of keeping up with seasonal trends. We don’t believe that homogenous global fashion houses should dictate the shapes or silhouettes that you have to wear every six months. We also don’t believe that the fashion industry should be allowed to pressurise a woman to be a certain size, or influence how she feels about her body. At The Deck, we think women’s clothes should be made to fit their bodies – not the other way around.

To this end, we help our clients to curate flattering, purpose-built wardrobes over time and invest in for-life tailored pieces that you’ll be able to turn to for years to come. We want women to know that made-to-measure tailoring is no longer a privilege only tailored to men.
